Netflix enjoys steady growth

It’s tough to pick a winner in the stock market these days unless you are one of the few with insider information, but Los Gatos, California based Netflix is on a roll. The mail order DVD subscription service reported a stellar first quarter where they attracted some 1.7 million new customers.

Facebook “Open Graph” platform aims to compete with Google

No Facebook

Facebook has indeed become huge, with over 400 million global users, and they are going to try to make search engines like Google obsolete with their new “Open Graph” platform. The intention is to allow Facebook members to engage a “like” icon while they are surfing the web, and without leaving the page, the article that they like will appear on their Facebook page

Internet search engine giant Google had an excellent first quarter of 2010, posting a net gain of nearly $2 billion which equated to a rise of $6.06 per share. This was a marked improvement over the same quarter last year, and their performance was significantly better than the best guesses of the market analysts. Forbes names worst-made cars

There has always been a lot of debate concerning the responsibility one may feel to buy an American-made car rather than an import. More telecommuting would decrease traffic, save money

I have been telecommuting for more than four years at this point, and I feel as though it is a very good thing for me, my clients, the community, and the environment. Laid off? Try a culinary career

Starting a new career path can be a pragmatic and positive response to a layoff, and when you decide to try something new, it is a good idea to analyze the projected viability of that new direction. Difficult economic times often indicate a shift in the job market, and there are certain things that people are going need to do regardless of the state of the economy, and one thing is certain: people will always need to eat. With this in mind, going to culinary school is an excellent choice for creative people who love food and enjoy preparing it for others.
